If you ask a master distiller of a Bourbon distillery, what influences a good Bourbon the strongest, then you receive the following answer: Grain, yeast, the fresh barrels from white oak and their storage have the largest influence on the taste of a Bourbon.

Where does this statement, which does not contain nothing at all over the details of the production procedure, come from? The answer to this question is simple and convincing. The American distilleries have usually the same production equipment and the same climate. The difference between the Bourbon manufacturers must thus be searched on another level.
