 Liqueur
 The selling amount of Whisky Liqueurs is rising
steadily. This trend is driven by the well known Scottish and Irish classic liqueurs as
well as by the recently appeared new brands.
As a matter of principle, whisky liqueur is made from whisky and
something sweet. The sweetness may come from pure sugar or from other ingredients like
natural honey. These basic ingredients are common to all whisky liqueurs.
Whisky liqueur may be distinguished by the used ingredients like
herbs, spices and alcohol content. A major differentiator of the whisky liqueurs is also
the adding of cream. A special own taste comes from the individual usage of malt whiskies
in some brands.
Nearly all companies advertise their products with the ancient
family recipe used for the production. Please do not count too much on this. Taste a few
of the liqueurs before you name your favourite. They are all worth a trial.
