The Storage and Shipping Building

In May 2002 we moved into the new building. The old cellar became too small over the last two years.

The new building was custom made for us in the industrial estate of Seeshaupt. Everything was arranged for optimal mail order shipments:

You reach our 200m2 (2'150 sq. feet) office via a 3 Mbit/s Internet connection and 6 phone lines. Here 4 computer servers and 12 PCs with a total of 1,0 TB (1.000 GB) capacity wait for your orders. They are used for order processing, whisky purchasing, bookkeeping and finance as well as for the development of the big German catalogue and our Internet homepage.

The bottle storage area was increased significantly in the new building. More than 1'000 different whiskies wait for your orders on 320 meters of shelves in 6 levels. 96% of the goods were already always awailable in the old store. This figure has increased further in the new building.

Your selected goods are packed accurately on an automated packing line. There are 6 pack stations as well as 3 picking places with PCs available. With this equipment we are able to ship up to 1'000 parcels to customers in an 8 hour shift.

The additional 7m high (23 feet) rack storage has space for 100 Euro-Pallets. Room enough for every whisky needed in the Chistmas rush.
