Made in Southwold at our distillery, Adnams Triple Malt Whisky is made with wheat, barley and oats. The wheat creates extra smoothness and the oats, creaminess. Ageing in new American oak barrels has created bold, strong flavours of coconut and chocolate. The nose is complex with notes of spice, coconut and toasted oak, citrus fruit and sweet honey. The palate takes you through sumptuous chocolate and exploding spices, before a long, satisfying finish.

Geschmack: Viel rauer, als der Geruch. Weniger süß im ersten Moment und eher nach trockenem Weizen schmeckend, geht er mit mehr Speichelfluss aber auch wieder in eine süßliche Richtung. Keinesfalls vergleichbar mit der gnadenlosen Rauheit eines Rye.
Abgang: Trockener und rau bitterer werdend.
Kommentar: "Richtig lecker". Das fällt mir zuerst ein. Wenn man sich an immer wieder zu ähnlichen süßlichen (Sherry-)Whiskys festgefahren hat und aus seiner Blase ausbrechen will, genau richtig. Den Alkoholgehalt schmeckt man gar nicht als Alkohol, dieser wird in puren Geschmack umgewandelt. Die Mischung macht ihn recht einzigartig und besonders. Ein richtig tolles Produkt.
