To create this single malt, Balvenie matured in traditional oak casks since 1991 was transferred for a final period of maturation in port pipes.

The result was a characteristically well-matured Balvenie ~ a delicious Speyside single malt with vanilla oak and honeyed, fruity sweetness on the nose and a rich distinctive taste with hints of ripe apricots and dried fruits rounded off with a vanilla oakiness. Its finish is rich, fruity and long.

Geschmack: Reich an Früchten (Aprikosen, Trockenfrüchte), würzig mit Honignuancen.
Abgang: Mild, lang mit Eichenholz und Früchten.
Geschmack: Butter, Honig, sehr nussig und weich
Abgang: Mittel und süß.
Kommentar: Süß und herzhaft. Ein gelunger Kontrast zum Bowmore Darkest.
