Inchmurrin 10 Jahre - 2007 Sweet, sassy and playful
The nose had a kitchen vibe going on – plum jam, jam tarts, Christmas cake, Black Forest gateau, toasted coconut and clover honey. We described the palate as sweet, sassy and playful, with toffee apples, burnt sugar, Garibaldi biscuits, figs, dates and Madeira wine – the finish hinted at sweet tobacco, coffee and Peshwari naan. The reduced nose discovered a succession of dried fruits (raisins, prunes), lovely cereal sweetness (syrupy cornflake cakes, almond slice, Empire biscuits) and finally suggestions of polished leather. The palate became sweet and earthy – raspberry brownie, cinnamon buns, fig rolls and toasted marshmallows – altogether tasty, balanced and very satisfying.
