In fact, the 15 year old Green Label was taken off the market in 2012. But because of the worldwide demand of the customers, Diageo decided in 2016 to bring the beloved whisky back on the shelf. Green Label is the only Blend of Johnnie Walker, that is exclusively created with Single Malts. He gains his unique character especially from the Malts of the Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore and Caol Ila distilleries.

The best of the line-up to me, by far. Great intensity of mostly Highland and Speyside malts on the nose, with nicely balanced barrel character, a noble touch of "old" mustiness and hints of peat smoke.
Clearly showing the Malt Blend pedigree. Excellent richness and texture on the palate, unparalleled by any of the grain-based JWs, even though the Platinum 18Y comes close in terms of richness.
Quite a classic and perfect blend, also a great bargain to its very end. I hear Taiwan is still officially receiving this blend.
