Nosing: Erdbeere Apfel Vanille Zitronenschale Gerste sugar

Taste: Heu Eiche Floral Honig

Finish: Vanille Eiche Walnuss (including some of the soapy characteristic of walnuts)

Comment: A great deal of sweetness on the nose. I do not detect the peat smoke referenced by other reviews. The transition from its fruit-laden nose, to an earthy taste & finish is smooth.

The quality of whisky from Springbank is not in question. This offering, however, is not a stand out from purely a sensory perspective.

Comment:
I didn't believe this has a strong 46% ABV one. It has a smoothness and completely mixed flavor with light peat , sherry, vanilla and malt. Well balanced dram for neat. I strongly recommend this.
