Highland Park New Make Spirit
Young, fresh and unfiltered, our NEW MAKE SPIRIT carries the distinctive flavours of newly malted barley infused with heady floral notes from our unique heathery peat.
Inspired by the original Orcadian ‘whisky’ distilled by our founder, Magnus Eunson, in 1798, under cover of darkness, by the light of the moon over Scapa Flow bay, we call our NEW MAKE SPIRIT ‘Tunglskin’ – from the Old Norse words for moon – ‘TUNGL’ – and light – ‘SKIN’. Remarkably similar to the original raw spirit created by Magnus, we’ve added spring water to ours, releasing subtle layers of flavour and creating a more balanced and drinkable spirit at 50% ABV
