Caorunn Small Batch Scottish Gin (Balmenach)
The Caorunn Gin is produced in small charges in the Balnenach distillery since 2009. The name comes from the Gaelic word for rowan berry, which is one of the main ingredients in this Gin besides four other Celtic plants. A copper berry chamber is used in the distillation process, which was invented in the 1920s in the USA. Back then the chamber was only used for extracting the ethereal oils. Within the distillation of this Gin, it is used to extract the aromas of the plants.
