MacNair‘s 12 Years Lum Reek - new Design
The Blending series Lum Reek was created by the Glenallachie distillery under the leadership of Billy Walker (prior Benriach and Glendronach). With 'Lang my yer lum reek' (May the chimney smoke for a long time) the Scots wished each other a long and successful life. Strongly peated Islay and Speyside Malts from Glenallachie were married together for this Blended Malt. Each edition matured in a carefully by Billy Walker chosen cask-selection.

Comment: Good balance. Sweet caramel taste dominant. Finish length medium. Overall good whisky but missing some complexity and character in my opinion to give a 4 star considering the price (100$).
