Yes, Blue Label is up to a regular $200 in some upscale supermarkets while being sold for $120 just around the corner in big bottle shops.
No matter how much reverence and fanfare surrounds it, it is not "the very best blend"... And after all, people buy the image, not the product.
A tired, musty nose dulled by caramel and unbalanced, noticeably sweetened palate can make it rather disappointing.
For a while, the new Platinum 18 actually "won" in direct, blind comparison tastings.
Please do NOT spend $25-35 to drink this at a bar...
