The sublime 35-year-old Ardmore Single Malt Whisky is a strictly limited bottling from Gordon & MacPhail's renowned Connoisseurs Choice series. In this series, the independent bottler seeks out exceptional and rare whiskies from both well-known and smaller Scottish distilleries, matures them in its own casks and bottles them to the highest quality standards. The 1987 Ardmore whisky matured for over 35 years in a refill American hogshead before being bottled in 2022 at natural cask strength, unfiltered and without colouring - a real collector's item for lovers of mature Highland whiskies. The taste of this matured Ardmore is impressive with elegant peat smoke, ripe fruit, honey sweetness and fine oak spice, which linger in a long, harmonious finish. Gordon & MacPhail, founded in 1895, is one of Scotland's most respected independent bottlers and has one of the largest private cask stocks in the whisky world. The bottlings are recognised worldwide for their authenticity, transparency and exceptional ageing quality.
