Doorly's XO Barbados Rum is a premium rum from the Caribbean, produced in the Foursquare Distillery, which was opened in 1996. This rum is based on molasses, which gives it its classic, full-bodied Barbados style. The Blend is matured for 8 to 10 years in selected oak barrels, giving it warmth, depth and subtle flavour. It is then matured in sherry casks, which adds complexity, fruity accents and a particularly round flavour. This combination creates a balanced, harmonious rum with an elegant profile. The taste of Doorly's XO is characterised by soft oak and spicy notes, complemented by fine fruity nuances from the sherry cask. It is ideal for pure enjoyment, for tastings or as a fine gift and combines tradition, craftsmanship and Caribbean elegance in one bottle. XO is an age designation that indicates that the youngest rum in the Blend has undergone a longer barrel maturation. However, there is no standardised legal rule for rum as there is for cognac, but it is common for XO rum to have been matured for at least 6 to 10 years. Doorly's XO Barbados Rum offers a perfect balance of maturity, depth and character, making it an outstanding representative of high-quality Barbados rums.
