A touch of Normandy in the heart of Elgin: the Glen Moray distillery in Speyside has been producing smooth and approachable Single Malt Whiskies since 1897. Glen Moray Forbidden Fruit derives its distinctive character from a finish in Calvados casks that previously held the famous French apple brandy from Normandy. The clear bottle and the intricately detailed label featuring delicate apple motifs highlight the special cask selection, whilst the amber-coloured liquid reflects its warm elegance. On the nose, apple blossom, fresh green apples, toffee and sweet pastries blend together. On the palate, spicy apple pie, creamy vanilla and barley sugar come together, before poached pears, oak and subtle spicy notes characterise the long finish. A harmonious Single Malt for lovers of fruity and exceptional cask finishes.
