Aroma: Ausgewogen mit Kirsche (fruchtig), Vanille und Karamell. Eiche und Sherry halten sich im Hintergrund.

Geschmack: Weich, kräftige Eiche. Kirsche wandelt sich in dunkle Beeren und Sherry.

Abgang: Lang, trocken werden mit Eiche und Gewürze. Sherryeinfluss klingt langsam aus.

Der Aberlour 14 Jahre reifte als Double Cask ganz traditionell in Ex-Bourbon und Ex-Sherry Fässern. Ein sehr ausgewogener und angenehm gereifter Whisky mit überraschender Fruchtigkeit und leichter Süße. Er schließt mit eigenem Charakter die Lücke zwischen den 12- und 16-jährigen Abfüllungen. Sehr schöne Abfüllung.
