This Aberlour Small Batch Single Malt Whisky matured for a total of 15 years. Of this, 68.3% was matured in American oak casks and 31.7% in European oak casks. This rare bottling was created with and for a French importer and was neither chill-filtered nor coloured and bottled at cask strength. The maturation period in American oak casks brings out notes of vanilla, cocoa and spring-like freshness, while the maturation phase in European oak casks provides depth and a stronger complexity.

Im Herzen der Speyside liegt die schottische Malt Whisky-Brennerei Aberlour. Sie wurde 1826 durch James Gorden und Peter Weir gegründet. 1879 brannte die Brennerei ab, wurde aber durch James Flemming wieder aufgebaut. Heute gehört sie zum Pernod Ricard Konzern.
