Product description
Bourbon distilled from corn, rye and barley malt has been held in high regard since 1946. The Sazerac Company, which is behind Ancient Age, is based in Metairie, Louisiana, and produces its Bourbon whiskey at the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Sazerac was founded in New Orleans in 1869, when Thomas H. Handy took over the Sazerac Coffee House - a bar with roots in the 18th century. Today, the company focuses on Bourbon production and owns several distilleries, including Buffalo Trace and Barton Brands. Ancient Age Bourbon first came onto the market in 1936 and has been produced in the USA as genuine Kentucky Straight Bourbon since the Second World War. During Prohibition, the whiskey was marketed for medicinal purposes.

Kommentar: Günstiger Bourbon kann gut sein...kann! Der hier ist bzw war ein absoluter Fehltritt. Die 33 Euro hätte ich mal lieber in den Badesee geworfen, dann hätte ich es wenigstens noch plätschern hören können. Keine Ahnung was das sein soll? Bourbon jedenfalls nicht. Jim Beam White Label oder jeder andere Discounter - Bourbon ist dagegen ein geschmackliches Highlight. (und das soll was heissen!). Weder Aroma, noch Geschmack und Abgang sind hier lecker oder ansprechend. Ich habs sogar mit Cola und Sprite versucht...die arme Cola sag ich da nur. Nein, den kann man getrost stehen lassen. Wertes Whisky.de - Team, das braucht kein Mensch. (meiner Meinung nach). Nehmt von mir aus den Pennypacker oder vorher genannten Jim Beam White ins Sortiment, die sind dagegen ein Genuß. Sternchen, weil ich ja wenigstens etwas vergeben muss. Eigentlich gäbe es für so einen schlechten "minus Sternchen".

Geschmack: Angenehm süßlich mit Anklängen von Mais, Karamell, Toffee und Vanille. Dazu ein Hauch von Gewürzen.
