Balblair
Balblair is one of the most northern distilleries of Scottland. It lies right next to the Dornoch Firth and was established in 1790. The distillery character is best described as 'very fruity and sweet Speyside Malt'. Balblair means fertile valley, but also battlefield. This is traceable to a battle between the Picts and the Vikings many centuries ago. read more

    Geschmack: Honey Caramel Fruit

    Abgang: Spices Oak Dark Chocolate

    Kommentar: Fruchtige Nase mit Vanille, Pfirsich, Birne geht auch ins tropische. Geschmack ist vollmundig und Honigsüß wieder mit heller Frucht. Gewürze die prickeln, Eiche und Zartbitter Schokolade im Abgang.
    Schmeckt gut, ein schönes Single Cask aber das besondere fehlt mir. Trotzdem ein guter Whisky.
