The Macpherson-Grant family has been at home on the Ballindalloch estate since 1546, where whisky has also been produced on the premises at the Single Malt Whisky Distillery since around 1820. In 2016, the distillery was even honoured with the Icons of Whisky award, which is given for the preservation of Scottish whisky tradition. This 9-year-old Ballindalloch Single Malt Whisky matured in a single Oloroso sherry butt and was bottled exclusively for Germany at 60.9% vol. at cask strength and without chill-filtering or additions.

Rolandon 22.10.2025Aroma:Nicht stechend in der Nase trotz hohem ABV. Leicht metallisch, aber nicht unangenehm. Würzig nach Zimt dazu dunkle reife Kirschen. Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte
Geschmack: Schwer, dunkle Früchte. Pflaumen und schwarze Kirschen. Dazu kommt eine interessante und harmonisch passende Umami Note, die in Richtung Nussigkeit geht.
Abgang: Eine fruchtige Säure spielt mit kräftigen Holznoten. Zuletzt trockener werdend. Wenn überhaupt nur eine Nuance Bitterkeit
Kommentar: Ein schweres dunkles Fruchtprofil, das diesem Whisky steht. Allerdings spielt hier hauptsächlich die Musik des Fasses, nicht die der Distillery Signatur. -

Kommentar: Ein wunderbarer Single Malt, der für sein Alter schon sehr viel Tiefe hat. Erinnert mich in der Nase und auf der Zunge an diese Kirschlollies mit dem grünen Stiel.
Länger wärmender Abgang. Ein gefährliches Teil ???? -
Hanspeteron 26.02.2025Aroma: Zuerst wird man von einer ziemlich intensiven Waldhonig-Note begrüsst; auch Caramel, dunklere Früchte, aber im Background melden sich auch leichtere Früchte, wie Äpfel und Birnen. Den sehr hohen Alkohol-Gehalt riecht man kaum.
Geschmack: Fast nicht zu glauben, dass er mit einem so hohen Alkoholgehalt so mild auf die Zunge kommt, erst später meldet sich dieser etwas stärker; ansonsten sehr caramelig auf der Zunge, etwas Rosinen, und etwas Eiche aufkommend.
Abgang: Im Abgang brennt der Alkohol etwas, wenn man nicht verdünnt, ansonsten kein allzu langer Abgang.
Kommentar: Ein spannender, komplexer Kenner-Whisky.

Kommentar: der haut einen um, in der Geschmacksfülle sowie mit dem Alkoholgehalt. 2 x verdünnt ändert sich nichts, 3 x verdünnt ist er plötzlich wässrig. Ein sehr eigenständiger, originaler Whisky mit individuellem Geschmack, mit Bedacht zu genießen. Alle Achtung.
