This Ben Nevis is a Highland Single Malt that has been refined for 32 months in a first fill Pedro Ximénez cask and then matured for a further 36 months in another Pedro Ximenez cask - this time third fill - to tame its intensity without adding further wine notes. The 12-year-old whisky was bottled in the Wilson & Morgan Barrel Selection with the "Signature" label, which stands for the highest level of care and quality. The independent bottler from Italy has been offering whisky connoisseurs around the world an exquisite selection of rare Scotch malt whiskies since 1992. Wilson & Morgan only selects the best malts that have been matured for between 10 and 30 years, occasionally after being re-racked in port, rum or Marsala casks. These whiskies are only bottled when the maturation has reached its peak in terms of flavour, which is precisely matched by the whisky professionals and then shipped to countries around the world.They are then shipped to countries all over the world, including Japan, France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and, of course, Italy, where they are now available in selected shops, Michelin-starred restaurants, wine and gourmet shops and now also at Whisky.de. The name Wilson & Morgan has no reference to real Italian founders or places - it has been deliberately anglicised.

Herstellerbeschreibungon 13.01.2026Aroma: Trocken, zitronig und weinig mit Noten von Orangensaft und Orangenschale. Dazu kommt eine angenehm säuerliche Note und ein Hauch von altem Eichenholz.
Geschmack: Sehr fruchtig mit jeder Menge Birnen, Orangensaft, Weintrauben und Kiwi, die zusammen an Obstsalat erinnern. Er ist trocken, saftig und weinig mit einer tanninhaltigen Eichennote.
Abgang: Eine deutliche Würze mit lebendiger Frische und angenehm herber Nuance.
