The Black Tears Roble Superior showcases genuine Cuban craftsmanship. The rum is produced in collaboration with the Cuban state and the entire production process, from distillation to bottling, takes place directly in Cuba. The Cuban rum is matured for up to five years in white oak barrels before being refined with 5% of 15-year-old Cuban rum. The result is a balanced, smooth rum with a multi-layered depth. The Island Rum Company was founded in 2012 with the idea of combining local influences and networks in Cuba with extensive experience in the international beverage industry to establish unique, new and existing Cuban rum brands on the global market.
