The Bruichladdich Classic Laddie 10 year old is the consistent further development of the characteristic house style of the Bruichladdich Distillery on the island of Islay. As an unpeated Single Malt Whisky from Islay, this bottling stands for origin, transparency and uncompromising quality. Made from 100% Scottish barley - around half of which is grown directly on Islay - and distilled, matured and bottled entirely on the island, this whisky epitomises the distillery's "Farmer First" approach and maximum traceability from field to glass. After 10 years of maturation in a variety of high-quality oak casks, the Classic Laddie gains significant depth, complexity and structure. The additional maturation time gives the elegant distillate more sophistication without masking its typical, fresh character. Bottled at a strong 50% vol. without chill filtration and without colouring, this Single Malt retains its natural oils and thus its full viscosity, texture and aroma density. The colour is created exclusively by the cask maturation. Each batch is individually composed; all details on barley varieties and cask profiles can be transparently traced via the bottle code on the Bruichladdich website. In the iconic aquamarine-coloured bottle, the Bruichladdich Classic Laddie 10 Year Old presents itself as an authentic, unpeated Islay Single Malt - powerful, complex and at the same time remarkably balanced. Kommentar: Ich muss sagen ich habe mir ein wenig mehr erhofft. Der Whisky ist leider eher 08/15 Bourbon. Ich habe hier nichts "besonderes". Es ist ein ordentlich gemachter Ex-Bourbon Malt mit den typischen Aromen. Zitrus, floral, leicht, grüner Apfel. Geschmacklich ok, es kommt malzigkeit dazu. Der Alkohol ist ein wenig stechend, nicht so schön eingebunden, aber noch ok. Alles in allem nicht schlecht gemacht und absolut in Ordnung, aber auch nicht mehr. -

Geschmack: sehr süß, erneut die Früchte aus der Nase, deutliche Malzaromen, schön eingebundene Eichennoten
Abgang: schöne Länge, Früchte, Malzigkeit & Holzaromen im Einklang
Kommentar: für mich ist der Bruichladdich die beste Variante der Brennerei, da hier der Brennereicharakter am besten zur Geltung kommt, die Aromen versetzten sofort wieder ans Loch Indaal, tolle Flasche mit angenehmer Haptik & Farbe, jetzt mit Altersangabe ein echtes Stück Islay!
