This Clynelish was bottled for the Special Releases 2023. Themed 'Spirited Xchange', this year's bottlings represent cross-cultural collaboration with a range of Single Malt expressions inspired by countries from around the world. This range of original bottlings perpetuates iconic whisky characters with curiosity, passion and Taste. The label and the tube of the bottle are inspired by jazz, bringing together the delicate hints of honey with the oily texture and sweet notes in a melody of Taste. The 10-year-old Single Malt Whisky is matured in first fill Bourbon casks made of American oak.

Die heutige Brennerei Clynelish an der Ostküste Schottlands entstand erst 1967. Sie befindet sich auf dem gleichen Gelände wie die ursprüngliche "Old Clynelish Distillery", die im Gegenzug stillgelegt wurde und zwischenzeitlich nur für kurze Zeit unter dem Namen Brora betrieben wurde. read more

Aroma: Intensive Anklänge von Karamell und würziger Vanille, dazu zarte und aromatische Akzente von mineralisch-maritimen Noten. Zum Ende hin süßer und runder werdend.

Geschmack: Erdig, weich und sehr ausgewogen. Die Vanillesüße und das reichhaltige, kräftige Bouquet werden von einem Hauch Salz und ansteigenden, pfeffrigen Noten umhüllt.

Abgang: Geschmeidig, lang und würzig.

Kommentar: Sehr guter, aber leider auch sehr teuerer Whisky. Deshalb ein Stern weniger.
