Product description
Located in the heart of Speyside near the small town of Craigellachie/Banffshire, the distillery was founded in 1891 at the height of the whisky boom and remains in operation to this day. The live tasting took place with Whisky.de master taster Ben Lüning and Brand Ambassador Pierre Kruff on 6 December 2024 from 19:00. The 13-year-old Craigellachie kicked things off, the Craigellachie Armagnac Cask Finish also matured for 13 years and was still finished in Armagnac casks, and the 17-year-old release was also part of the live stream.

Aroma: Zitrus, gelbe Früchte, Gewürze, Süße, Eiche, Sherry Zitrus Fruit Spices Pepper Oak Sherry

Geschmack: Man hat sofort eine fruchtige süße von Orangen und Mandarinen, gefolgt von einer kräftigen Würze und einer leichten pfeffrigen Schärfe. Zum Abschluss wird er etwas trocken, die Eiche kommt durch und eine schöne Sherry Note. Ein durchaus vielseitiger Whisky der mit seiner intensiven Würzigkeit und seinen Ecken und Kanten überzeugt.

Abgang: lang anhaltend würzig und fruchtig mit Sherry
