Dalmore is a high-quality Highland distillery with a good Whisky and an elegant bottle design. The distillery was long run by the noble Scottish Mackenzie clan. A member of the clan once saved King Alexander III's life while stag hunting by stabbing a deer attacking him at the last second. The king was so grateful that he allowed the Mackenzie clan to bear the royal twelve-tailed stag on their coat of arms. This symbol is still displayed on Dalmore bottles today. Kommentar: Leider ist in den letzten 5 Jahren etwas mit diesem Whisky passiert.
Früher hat er sehr stark das Aroma einer "Kellerorange" gehabt, eine Richtung zwischen "Muffigkeit" und getrockneter Orange.
Leider sind die extremen Richtungen sehr abgeflacht, das Alter ist nicht mehr zu schmecken. Ich will nicht sagen schlecht aber eher gefällig als besonders.
