The Colombian producer of Gin, cigars and coffee is best known for its rum. Dictador was founded in 1913 in Cartagena on the northern coast of Colombia. Great importance is attached to careful production and well-kept recipes, which are continued today by the third generation of the Parra family. The basis of the Dictador Rum XO Platinum consists of fermented sugar cane honey, which is then distilled in a stainless steel tank. The rum is matured in high-quality, used oak barrels from the Andalusian Jerez. The rum is then finished in port wine barrels that have been burnt out again, giving the liquid sweet aromas of caramel and oak.

Geschmack: sehr geschmeidig (ob jetzt Honig oder Karamell; die Richtung trifft es schon)
Abgang: (zumindest leicht);
Kommentar: Also der Platinum ist definitiv milder/weicher bzw. abgerundeter als der 20jährige. Dadurch ist er extrem süffig und "edler", dafür aber nicht so intensiv wie der (günstigere) 20er. Trotzdem ein (sehr) schönes Gesamtpaket. So zwischen 4,5 und 5....

Geschmack: Weich mit Facetten von Fudge, intensiver Vanille und erneuten Akzenten von Parfait-Karamell. Es folgen Anklänge von kolumbianischem Kaffee mit leicht süßlichen Eichennoten.

Kommentar: Dieser Rum ist eine Karamell Bombe die sanft in eine Walnussnote übergeht. Im allgemeinen wirklich guter Rum den ich weiterempfehlen kann.
