Product description
Dodo Gold Rum is produced in Mauritius and is unique in its kind. It is distilled from Mauritian molasses in colum stills. What is unique about this molasses rum is that fresh bananas, vanilla and red fruits are macerated in French oak barrels during the ageing process, giving it its characteristic flavour. The bottle is engraved with the silhouette of the dodo bird, which can be seen on the coat of arms of Mauritius. The bird became extinct in 1690 and was a flightless pigeon bird. The dodo is still a popular example of research and science in ornithology today.
