This 13-year-old Edradour whisky spent its entire maturation period in first fill Cabernet Sauvignon casks, which were previously filled with the elegant and heavy red wine Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is known worldwide for its powerful red wines with intense flavours of blackcurrant (cassis), green pepper, cedar wood, pepper and liquorice, which were able to penetrate the Edradour Single Malt with fine fruity facets, vanilla, chocolate and spicy notes throughout the entire maturation period. Andrew Symington matured this Edradour Single Malt from three casks from the St. Michael Eppan winery before bottling the whisky at 48.2% vol. without chill-filtering or colouring.

The Distillery: Edradour
The Edradour distillery is one of Scotland's most traditional Whisky distilleries and was once the smallest in the country. It is idyllically situated on the River Edradour, surrounded by hills east of Pitlochry. Exceptional Highland Single Malt Whiskies are produced here using traditional methods that are hardly practised in any other distillery.

Herstellerbeschreibungon 04.03.2026Aroma: Anklänge von reifen Pflaumen verbinden sich mit dunklen Kirschen, dann folgen Honig und Vanillecreme ehe das Aroma mit einer Prise Muskat und Orangenschale abgerundet wird.
Geschmack: Cremige Textur mit fruchtigen Facetten von Brombeergelee und Schwarzkirschen, im Hintergrund blitzen Akzente von Zartbitterschokolade und Gewürzen auf.
Abgang: Mittellang, dunkelfruchtig, dazu sanfte Eindrücke von Eiche, die mit Aromen von Mokka ausklingen.
