"Scotland's Little Gem" presents the Edradour 12 year old, which was matured in first fill Madeira hogsheads. What is special about this whisky is that it was distilled and bottled on 29 February. This single malt Scotch from the leap year is both unique and complex. The small batch is composed from ten Portuguese fortified wine casks. With an increased drinking strength of 48.2% vol. and without chill filtration, this whisky unfolds its full flavours.

    Aroma: Kräutrige Aromen mit leichter grüner Tee Note, würzig mit Edradour-Funk, florale Nase mit Pflaumenwein

    Geschmack:Süß und fruchtig. wieder Pflaumenwein, süßliche Vanille. Kandierte Äpfel.

    Abgang: Mittellang, mit sanfter Trockenheit und leichter Bitterkeit, die an Birnenschale erinnert.

    Kommentar: Interessante Abfüllung mit gutem PLV. Die Madeira Fässer kommen mit ihrem pflaumig-süßen Profil sehr angenehm zur Geltung.
