The 18-year-old Glenburgie is part of The Fashionable Project series from independent bottler The Caskhound by Thilo Schnabel, which showcases elegant single cask finishes in natural form with distillery character and creative labelling. The Glenburgie Single Malt matured for years in a bourbon cask and presents impressive vanilla notes with subtle accents of apples, mango and pear at 50% vol. on the palate, followed by malt and caramel. The finish is characterised by cinnamon spice and fruity, nutty aromas. The Highland Cattle on the label is dressed in a typical Scottish look, reflecting the elegant but down-to-earth style of the whisky, far removed from overloaded scene single malts. Bottled at cask strength without chill-filtering and without added colour, this Speyside invites you to taste and enjoy it as chapter number 4 in the series.

Herstellerbeschreibungon 04.03.2026Aroma: Süß-herbe Vanillecreme, weich mit grasig-floralen Nuancen, grüner Apfel für frische Kontur, warmes Birnenkompott für Tiefe. Reife Mango und ein Hauch Mandarine mit Zitrusakzent. Im Hintergrund Haferflocken und spritzige Aromen von unreifen Trauben.
Geschmack: Weich und ölig mit sich ausbreitender Honigsüße, begleitet von einer feinen Kräuternote, die Struktur verleiht. Knackige Apfelspalten, ein Hauch Zitrus und etwas Karamell, Aprikosenkonfitüre und kandierte Mango mit geröstetem Malz und Würze folgen.
Abgang: Mittellang, angenehm trocken und sehr stilsicher. Vanilleschote trifft auf Zimt und einen Hauch Ingwer. Getrocknete Aprikose und Kakaopulver geben bittersüße Akzente, bevor Kokosöl und geröstete Eiche den Geschmack langsam abrunden.
