Aroma Dark brown sugar, baked orchard fruits and light spice. Hazelnut praline, candied orange peel and maple syrup are complemented by toasted oak and softly worn leather.
Taste Caramelised pears, dark chocolate and sweet baking spices give way to notes of cinnamon, clove and cardamom. Pecan tart, crystallised ginger and orange marmalade follow. Soft, rich and full-bodied towards the end.
Finish Rich, sweet and silky with persistent light spice tones.

Product description
For this Glenrothes, the raw whisky was matured with a high degree of precision in European oak barrels pre-matured with sherry. The result is a combination of the delicate and bold sides of the Speyside distillery, which are delicately and harmoniously balanced on the one hand, while on the other hand offering a broad spectrum of intense spicy notes and a touch of sweetness. The 15-year-old whisky was bottled at a slightly higher strength of 43% vol.

The Glenrothes Distillery is located in Rothes in the heart of the Speyside. It looks back on a very turbulent history. The day the first spirit was distilled at Glenrothes was 28 December 1879 and this might have been seen a bit as a bad omen: It was the day the Tay Bridge at Dundee collapsed. Several times The Glenrothes was hit by fire and it burnt down at last, but as a phoenix it rose again and today it’s back on the stage and playing a big role in the Whisky game. read more

Aroma: Dunkelbrauner Zucker, gebackene Obstgartenfrüchte und helles Gewürz. Haselnusspraline, kandierte Orangenschale und Ahornsirup werden durch geröstete Eiche und weich abgenutztes Leder ergänzt.

Geschmack: Karamellisierte Birnen, dunkle Schokolade und süße Backgewürze gehen zu Noten von Zimt, Nelke und Kardamom über. Pekannusstorte, kristallisierter Ingwer und Orangenmarmelade folgen. Zum Ende hin weich, reichhaltig und vollmundig.

Abgang: Reichhaltig, süß und seidig mit anhaltend hellen Gewürztönen.
