Green Spot is an Irish Pot Still Whiskey produced at the Midleton distillery. For Pot Still Whiskey, a mash of malted and unmalted barley is triple distilled on Pot Still stills. This makes the whiskey wonderfully smooth and complex.

Aroma: Melon, ein Hauch tropischer Früchte dazwischen (reife Papaya!), Apple Fruit Sweet

Geschmack: Sweet Spices, neben den Gewürzen ein Hauch Oak
Holzigkeit: Hazelnut (von der Haselnuss eher die Schale)

Abgang: der Nachgeschmack durchaus ein Hauch herber Noten, neben den restlichen Geschmacksnoten die noch übrigbleiben, etwas Schärfe.

Kommentar: Wenn der/die geneigte LeserIn überlegt, auch mal einen Iren in eine übliche schottisch geprägte Bestellung zu streuen, ist das für EUR 39,90 (07/24 zum Bestelldatum und 12/24 zum Zeitpunkt des Eintrags) ein definitiver Preis/Leistungs-Hit.
