The bottlings in the Heartgow range from the Harz distillery Hammerschmiede are always created by switching between batches or distillates. This results in completely new flavours. The label shows a warmly wrapped lady, which probably indicates the flavour characteristics of the bottling: elegant and warming. A rich flavour experience was created for this winter bottling, combining hearty notes of malt, smoke and firewood with smoked bacon and the sweetness of sultanas, roasted macadamia nuts, caramel and dark chocolate. The aromatic profile is rounded off by facets of apricot tart and the characteristic mandarin notes. The Heartgow Winter 2025 was matured in first-fill hogsheads and small octave casks, which previously contained rare Palo Cortado and sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry.
