Er ist einer der bekanntesten und meistverkauften Whiskeys der Welt: Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Die Heimat von Jack Daniel’s ist Lynchburg, eine Stadt etwa 70 Meilen südlich von Nashville. Hier wird eigentlich ganz normaler Bourbon Whiskey produziert, aber dahinter steckt noch mehr. 1944 erhielt die Destillerie nämlich eine amtliche Zusage, dass Tennessee Whiskey zu einer eigenen Klassifizierung wird, begründet wurde das aufgrund des sogenannten "charcoal mellowing" (auch "Lincoln County Process" genannt). read more
