Kilchoman Coull Point is an exclusive Islay Single Malt Whisky created exclusively for travel retail. This special bottling is a careful vatting of four and five-year-old first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, with the four-year matured portion receiving an additional 4-week finish in Oloroso sherry butts, which are balanced by a 4-week finish in Oloroso sherry casks.The four-year matured portion is given an additional four-week finish in Oloroso sherry butts, which ensure a balanced interplay of fruity sweetness, spicy sherry notes and the characteristic Islay peat smoke. In keeping with the distillery's traditional style, the Kilchoman Coull was named after a local landmark. The edition takes its name from an old and harsh climate characterised - but nevertheless impressive - headland, which lies just half a mile north of Machir Bay. Bottled at 46.0% vol. Kilchoman Coull Point impresses with its harmonious balance, lively fruitiness and the unmistakable maritime character of the Kilchoman distillery.

The Distillery: Kilchoman
After more than 125 years, the Kilchoman farm distillery is the first new distillery to be built on the island of Islay. At the distillery, which was founded in 2005 and produces a 100 per cent Islay Single Malt, all production steps are carried out on site, from the cultivation of the barley to the filling of the bottles.
