Knockando Slow Matured matures particularly slowly in bourbon casks and European oak sherry casks. This makes the 18-year-old Single Malt particularly soft and complex. The distillery Knockando, which means 'little black hill' in Gaelic, is located in the middle of Speyside, a region in Scotland known for its high-quality whiskies.

The distillery was founded in 1898 by John Thompson, and administered by the Knockando-Glenlivet Distillery Company. The acclaimed Whisky architect Charles Doig designed the site. The name of the distillery comes from the Gaelic 'Cnoc-an-dhu', meaning 'little black hill', quite probably an homage to the hills in-between which the site is located. read more

Aroma: Sehr rund und mild, Sherry und Eiche, Frucht und Vanille

Geschmack: Zuerst sehr mild, aber dann kräftig auf der Zunge. Die Eiche ist erst vordergründig, dann süß.

Abgang: Mittellang und warm, etwas Eiche
