For the 200th anniversary of the distillery, the 8-year-old Lagavulin was bottled for the first time. After the great response, Diageo decided to bottle the whisky regularly at the end of 2017.

The Scottish Malt Whisky distillery Lagavulin is located on the south side of the island of Islay, between the Laphroaig and Ardbeg distilleries. Lagavulin, pronounced Lagga-voulin, comes from Gaelic and roughly means “hollow by the mill”. Founded in 1816 by John Johnston, the Lagavulin distillery is owned by the Diageo group and its whiskies are part of its Classic Malts Selection. read more
