Peter Brown founded the distillery in 1821. At its inception, the site had only two stills, and Whisky operation wasn't entirely legal yet. The distillery formally began operations in 1825, after Whisky distillation was legalized. Brown's original distillery operated with only one wash still and one spirit still. read more

    In der Nase präsentiert sich der Linkwood 12 Jahre fruchtig, süß und ausgeprägt blumig. Frische Citrusnoten stehen im Vordergrund, begleitet von einer leichten Würze und dezenten Eichentönen im Hintergrund. Insgesamt wirkt das Aroma angenehm leicht und elegant, ohne schwere Anklänge.

    Am Gaumen setzt sich der blumige Charakter deutlich fort. Eine anfängliche, feine Süße trifft auf zurückhaltende Citrusfruchtigkeit und eine sanfte Eichenwürze. Nach dem ersten Schluck tritt die Eiche auch in der Nase etwas stärker hervor. Der Abgang entwickelt sich zunehmend trockener, wobei die Eiche immer präsenter wird und den Whisky trocken und sauber ausklingen lässt.
