Aroma Lush and juicy, with the fullness of ripe red fruit, wrapped in a gentle hint of smoky bacon.
Taste Cherries, ripe berries, ginger cake and brown sugar meet dark rye spice and subtle accents of BBQ smoke.
Finish Long and powerful, with hints of baking spices, salty smoke and red roses. Oak tannins round off the profile.

Product description
Like its predecessors, the third batch of the annual Lochlea Cask Strength bottling comes from the now established and popular distillery in the Lowlands, which is run by the McGeoch family. Master blender Jill Boyd has been working for Lochlea since 2024 and created the latest cask strength bottling with 59.8% vol. together with her team. The whisky first matured in Oloroso sherry casks and was then matured in casks previously filled with smoky Islay Single Malt. The result is a full-bodied and deep bottling with fruity facets and sweet-spicy accents as well as a surprising smoky note. Like all of the Farm Distillery's creations, the barley for this cask-strength batch is grown, processed, distilled and matured in-house. Complete traceability from the field to the bottle.

The Lochlea distillery in the Scottish Lowlands has been producing Single Malt Whisky since 2018. The team grows their own grain for the Lochlea products on the approximately 90 hectares. They are particularly proud of the estate's history, which the Scottish national poet Robert Burns called home from 1777 to 1784 and also lent a hand on the farm. The distillery manager is none other than former Laphroaig director John Campbell. read more
