Longmorn 16 Year Old is an outstanding single malt Scotch whisky from the famous Speyside region of Scotland, known for its harmonious balance between fruitiness, malty notes and elegant spice. Made from premium malt, this whisky is matured for over 16 years in a carefully selected combination of American ex-Bourbon and European ex-sherry casks. This maturation gives it remarkable depth and complexity: the bourbon casks bring soft vanilla and caramel notes, while the sherry casks add subtle fruity and spicy accents that round off its flavour and provide a complex taste experience. The Longmorn 16 Year Old is deliberately not chill-filtered, which preserves its natural texture and full flavour. In the glass, it has a warm amber colour, accompanied by intense notes of ripe fruit, honey, malt and a fine spiciness. The palate reveals a smooth, elegant profile with a lingering finish - typical of traditional Speyside craftsmanship. This Single Malt Whisky is suitable for both whisky connoisseurs and beginners who want to experience a high-quality, balanced Speyside whisky. Whether enjoyed neat, lightly opened with water or combined for special moments of enjoyment, Longmorn 16 year old impresses with its aromatic diversity and harmonious flavour full of character.     Hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, stark und komplex, angenehm starke Bitterkeit gepaart mit ausreichender Süße, langer Abgang. Insgesamt sehr rund. (4/5)

    Geschmack: würziger Antritt mit Pfeffer, wird nur noch leicht süß, Vanille, Malz und Eiche

    Starke Eiche, aber weich, würzig, etwas Vanille, ... dann etwas fruchtiger.
    Ein erster Schluck ist aromatisch, kräftig, brennt im ersten Moment, wird dann aber wieder schön rund, ist sogar relativ komplex.
    Mittellanger Abgang. Ganz nett. "Lässt sich sehr schön trinken..."

    Aroma: Malzig, nussig, Orange mit leichter Vanille Note.

    Geschmack: Malz, Getreide, leicht würzig mit leichter Schärfe.

    Abgang: Geht recht ölig mit viel Volumen, etwas Karamell, feine Schokoladen Noten, etwas Orangenbitter und Minze.

    Kommentar: Die Flasche lässt zum Ende des Füllstands deutlich nach. Zwar ist es noch immer ein guter Whisky, aber eben nicht mehr ein hervorragender.
