The Macallan Harmony Collection - Phoenix Honey Orchid has been matured in a combination of European and American oak sherry casks. This Macallan whisky is inspired by the "Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea" from the JING tea brand, a complex tea with pronounced dessert wine flavours and exotic fruit notes. The main maturation of the Single Malt took place in American oak sherry casks, allowing fruity and floral nuances to develop. This is complemented by European oak sherry casks, which give the whisky balanced roasted flavours and velvety facets. A subtle addition of ex-Bourbon casks rounds off the profile with a gentle sweetness, reflecting the characteristic dessert wine flavours of the eponymous tea. Just as The Macallan comes from the field into the glass, JING Tea comes from the garden into the cup.
