Product description
This Mackmyra Single Malt was produced according to the Rök recipe and is therefore appropriately smoky. Rök is the Swedish word for smoke. The first fill Oloroso cask in which the Swedish whisky was stored rested underground in the Bodås mine. The cooler temperatures and high humidity affected the cask and the maturation period. This gave the delicately smoky Swedish whisky subtle petrichoric accents and cool wooden cask flavours. Thanks to our excellent business relationship with Mackmyra, we were able to secure remaining stocks of the popular and exclusive whiskies from the Swedish distillery, which unfortunately had to file for bankruptcy in 2024. These include this strictly limited Single Malt.
