Each of the five Single Malts is matured in a different cask: sweet port, fruity calvados, dry sherry, spicy virgin oak and Caribbean rum give the West Cork whiskeys a wide variety of aromas and flavours.

The Distillery: West Cork

As the name suggests, West Cork Distillers is located in the west of County Cork in Ireland. The independent craft distillery was founded in 2003 by three childhood friends: John O'Connell and cousins Ger and Denis McCarthy. What began as a small experiment in a back room developed into one of the largest Irish-owned distilleries in the country. Today, the distillery employs more than 140 people, many of them from the region, and produces Irish Whiskey, Gin and Vodka for a global audience. read more
