Naked Malt is the new name of the Naked Grouse from the Famous Grouse brand. This was created as a stand-alone brand to complement the Famous Grouse whiskies with a softer and sweeter variant. The content is the same, even with the new name: The Blended Malt contains whiskies from Glenturret, Highland Park and Macallan.

    Abgang: Fruit Herb Alcohol Sherry

    Kommentar: Ein eher zurückhaltender Whisky. Fruchtig in der Nase mit einem Hauch von Vanille. Die Sherrynoten muss man schon sehr tief im Glas suchen. Auf der Zunge ein wenig kräftiger, es kommt mehr Eichenaroma hervor. Den Abgang würde ich als kurz bis mittellang definieren. Zuerst fruchtig und für die lediglich 40%alc. eine doch erstaunliche Alkoholnote, die jedoch schnell verschwindet. Am Ende kommen noch ein wenig Sherrynoten und ein Hauch von Bitterkeit.
    Für den angebotenen Preis ein solider Blended Malt. Jedoch hätte ich mir aufgrund des First-Fill-Sherrycasks einen Whisky mit deutlich mehr Sherryaroma erhofft.
