This variant of the well-known Old Grand Dad was aged for at least 4 years and bottled at a strong 50% vol. Since it comes from only one season and was distilled by a single distiller, the whiskey can call itself 'bottled in bond'.

Kommentar: Die 50% waren mir zu heftig, also habe ich schrittweise auf 40% verdünnt. Dabei konnte ich keine nennenswerte Geschmacksvorteile erkennen. Ich bin daher mit dem 80 proof besser bedient.
