Pendleton 1910 Rye is a rye whiskey distilled in Canada from pure rye (100% rye) and matured for at least twelve years in oak barrels. The long ageing process allows the whisky to develop the typical mature flavours of a well-matured rye. The name "1910" refers to the year of the first Pendleton Roundein a historic rodeo, which over time has become a distinctive part of the regional culture and is closely associated with the character of the brand. Pendleton 1910 Rye is presented in a distinctive bottle and is characterised by an interplay of spicy rye notes and softer barrel nuances, resulting in a well-balanced and accessible taste.

    Aroma: Zarte, leichte Roggennote mit einem Hauch Karamell. Ein Bisschen fruchtig mit Pfirsich und Limone.

    Geschmack: Weich, süffig und herb süßlich: Roggige Karamellnote mit Honig und (heller) Schokolade.

    Abgang: Mittel. Toller Roggengeschmack hinten raus mit Karamell, Nüssen und (leichten) Fruchtnoten.

    Kommentar: Schön weiches Aroma/Geschmack (12 Jahre!) für einen Roggen-Whisky, aber dabei viel zu flach und unausgewogen! Preis/Leistung nicht so gut. Hätte er 20 Euro weniger gekostet, würde ich ihn besser bewerten. "Masterson Rye 10 Jahre" ist und bleibt der bisher beste kanadische Whisky!

    Aroma: Abgerundetes und voll, mit Anklängen von Muskatnuss, Nelken und einem Hauch getrockneter Ananas.

    Geschmack: Gedämpfte tropische Früchte, Äpfel und getrocknete Kirschen, dazu nussige Toffee-Untertöne.

    Abgang: Mitteltrocken mit anhaltend säuerlicher Kirschnote.
