Puni Arte is a series of limited bottlings with which Italy's first whisky distillery, PUNI Distilleria, takes the liberty of creating distinctive whiskies rooted in the Vinschgau Valley in South Tyrol. Regional grains, Scottish distilling equipment and storage rooms both above and below ground bring to light individual flavour profiles that impressively demonstrate the art of Italian whisky production. The Puni Arte No.6 Single Malt Whisky was matured for seven years in Chardonnay barrels from South Tyrol. Chardonnay stands for elegance and diversity and is one of the most renowned and most frequently cultivated white grape varieties in the world. These barrels gave the 6th edition of Puni Arte fruity, fresh notes of apples and sweet peaches, accompanied by almond notes and vanilla.

The Distillery: Puni
The Puni Distillery was founded in January 2010 by the Ebensperger family in Vinschgau. It was established as Italy's first Whisky distillery in Glurns, surrounded by the Alps near the Ortler massif. It takes its name from the River Puni, which rises in the Ötztal Alps and flows through the Planeiltal valley into Vinschgau. The soft mountain spring water from the Stilfserjoch National Park and the alpine climate form the basis for the special quality of the Italian Malt Whisky produced here.
