Puni Vina is a particularly fruity bottling from handpicked oak barrels that were previously filled with first-class Marsala wine. Marsala is a fortified wine traditionally produced on the island of Sicily. It is made from white grape varieties. The use of Marsala barrels gives Vina its dark colour and fine fruit aromas.

The Puni Distillery was founded in January 2010 by the Ebensperger family in Vinschgau. It was established as Italy's first Whisky distillery in Glurns, surrounded by the Alps near the Ortler massif. It takes its name from the River Puni, which rises in the Ötztal Alps and flows through the Planeiltal valley into Vinschgau. The soft mountain spring water from the Stilfserjoch National Park and the alpine climate form the basis for the special quality of the Italian Malt Whisky produced here. read more

    Kommentar: Als Italien-Fan waren meine Erwartungen sehr hoch.
    Im großen und ganzen ist er recht gut, dennoch kein Schotte und das schmeckt man irgendwie. Die Flasche ist ein Hingucker.

    Es war mein erster italienischer Whisky und ich habe beim Preis in Kombination der Häufigkeit italienischer Whiskies ein überteuertes Produkt erwartet. Umsomehr war ich dann vom ausgewogenen Geschmack beeindruckt. Ein sehr angenehmer Whisky den ich bestimmt noch mal kaufen werde.

    Kommentar: Sehr interssante Fruchtnoten durch den Marsala. Noch nicht ganz ausgewogen aber mit großem Potential, etwas mehr Reifung hätte sicher nicht geschadet. Insgesamt aber positiv und ich würde ihn wieder kaufen.
