Product description
Renegade Études Pearls Rum comes from one of the most modern rum distilleries in the world. With Mark Reynier, known as a whisky entrepreneur, Waterford CEO and former CEO of Bruichladdich, the Renegade rums are now also produced according to the 'farm by farm, field by field, terroir by terroir' principle. The Single Farm Origin Rums represent the Caribbean country of Grenada in terms of taste. The innovative plant allows for separate processing of the individual sugar cane harvests. A sophisticated digital data system makes the sugar cane fully traceable. As with Reynier's wine and whisky creations, the same principle applies to the Renegade rums: maximum transparency in production. Distilled on Pot Stills, neither chill-filtered nor coloured, Études Pearls Rum is made from the fresh sugar cane juice of the Type Yellow Lady and matured in first-fill US casks and premium French oak barrels before being bottled at 55% vol. with glass stoppers.

Aussergewöhnlich. Wie bereits von Jeremias beschrieben, andere Geschmack als was ich bisher probierte. Die Stärke ist aufgrund der Frucht kaum zu erahnen. Ein Liebhaber Produkt für abwechslungsfreudige Menschen.

Ein Experiemnt, ein Erlebnis, sehr speziell. Hochwertiger Rum, der schwer zugänglich ist. Schmeckt nach rauchigen Oliven. Ganz schwer zu beschreiben. Komplexer als viele Malts. Näher am Whisky als am klassischen Rum.
Der ist mal was für ein Tasting in Gesellschaft. Nix zum Nebenbei Trinken!

Aroma: Toffeesüße und würzige Eichennoten bilden eine ausbalancierte und duftende Harmonie.

Geschmack: Süß und würzig mit dunklem Zimt und Eichenholz, dazu kräftige, runde und geschmeidige Pot-Still-Textur. Vanille- und Kokosnussnoten dominieren.

Abgang: Langanhaltend mit Anklängen von Gewürzen und einer üppigen Textur.
